Happy New Year! Is it still acceptable to say that in the last week of January?
Regardless, I hope you feel reenergised and have had a great start to the year. As an Aussie, I’m not made for English winters, which is why I’m currently hibernating in Gran Canaria before it’s warm enough to return home! It may sound like a holiday but I can assure you, I’ve never been busier!
If you’re looking for an idea of what’s in store in 2022 and beyond, we’ve got some great reading this month. Our first story tackles the industry headache that is materials and labour shortages – will we see improvement or will it be another lorry-lite year?
We then highlight what PropTech trends we could be set to see this year, according to Crunchbase, following high investment in the area in 2021.
Finally, I mentioned 2022 and beyond, but maybe ‘to infinity and beyond’ would’ve been more apt, as we highlight the progress being made in the space architecture realm!
Another major event this year is the New Homes Quality Code, which was published in late December, with all UK developers expecting to be signed up by the end of this year. For more information on the New Homes Quality Code and how we can help, free of charge, checking out our Product Update below.
Product Update News
The New Homes Quality Code will undoubtedly cause numerous headaches, as it is yet another thing to worry about amid all the other moving parts that come with homebuilding in the COVID era.
Existing reservation and handover content that was suitable under the Consumer Code for Home Builders may no longer pass muster, meaning processes and information will need to change. Well, not to fear – our Editorial team have around 50 years’ combined experience creating market-leading content and have their finger on the pulse when it comes to the Code. We are offering free reviews of existing reservation and handover content to make sure you are compliant.
Don’t leave it to the last minute and don’t risk the potential legal and branding stigma that could come with non-compliance. Book a call-back today to arrange your free review.
