Order book fit to burst for May 2011!

| Even the unseasonably bad weather hasn’t stopped us from celebrating – May 2011 brought us our best ever month for orders, including re-orders from two of our existing customers from the Top 100; Higgins Homes and Weston Homes, who we’ve been supplying since 2005 and 2003 respectively. This was topped off by a staggering order from newly rebranded Linden Homes for 5000 combined reservation and completion packages, worth a total of over £300,000 and showing that we’re definitely back up to pre-recession levels. Needless to say, this was a good excuse for us to celebrate, and the entire company was treated to lunch out at a local café, where we descended one rainy Tuesday lunchtime. The rate of business shows no sign of slowing as we merge into July, so watch this space for more good news! |

| After celebrating our best ever month of orders in May 2011, we were doubly pleased with the large number of these that were from London-based homebuilders; both re-orders from existing customers and from new members of the Classic Folios ‘club’. These included a sixth order from Hadley, which includes development-specific packages to match their marketing material; a brilliant tenth order from Ballymore, our very first Homeowner Manual customer who joined us in 1998; and an order for 430 packs from well-established Central London developer Mount Anvil. We hope our London-based customers continue to spread the word! |

| Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is Europe's leading programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity through the better use of knowledge, technology and skills that reside within the UK knowledge base. Following a rigorous and extensive application process, we are delighted to announce that Classic Folios has been awarded a KTP grant to help fund the company's strategic diversification project. In conjunction with the University of Portsmouth, we have recruited an Associate to work with us for a two-year period to manage the project, apply their own knowledge and ensure that the expertise of the university is embedded into the business. Academics will remain closely involved throughout the project, and work with both the Associate and our staff to contribute their own knowledge and experience. |

Commissioned by prestigious developer Northacre plc to create a presentation package of unparalleled quality, Classic Folios produced a 30-page, hardbound book for the Homeowners' Manual. The book sits alongside two custom-sized Folios (a quick reference guide and appliance manual folder), each housed in an individual, hand-made compartment within a luxurious document case.

University graduates Elli Morton and Emma Forward joined Classic Folios this Summer, to assist Delia in the editorial department. Their natural exuberance and creativity, as well as the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, has meant the girls have already become very valuable members of the team. Then in November, we welcomed Chris Hartley to the sales team. Recently returned from Greece, where he ran a windsurfing school, Chris is now relishing the challenges of his new role and is doing a fantastic job on the phone, getting to know our clients and prospects. Classic Folios work with Places For People
In May Places for People commissioned Classic Folios to produce a very distinctive manual for them to hand over to buyers of properties on their Marlborough Park development. Not only did we complete the project in an exceptionally short lead time, but also produced a package we are very proud of.
